He was predeceased by: his mother Claire Feaver Nichols; his sister Lynn Ann Nichols; and his grandparents, Clifford, Dorothy Feaver, Guy and Faye Nichols.

He is survived by: his father Jerry Nichols; his sister Tamie McEwen (John); his niece Randa Paredes; his nephews, Ryne McEwen (Samantha) and Blake McEwen (Whitney); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Christian, Rilynn Paredes, Brady, Beau McEwen, Grayson and Landon McEwen; and his pets, Leia and Roxie.
