He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Fanning and Nellie Platt; and his sisters, Joyce Canovai, Jean Lentz and Patricia Kelly.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his children, Christopher Fanning (Kathleen Owston-Fanning) and Sherri Galindo-Fanning; his siblings, Connie Stephens, Irvin Platt and Sherry Hess; his stepdaughter Lauri Johnson; and his grandsons, Alex Kingaard and Charles Dignam. He is also survived by many extended family nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
