It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Alexander Grimes of Santa Ana, California, who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Richard Grimes and Margaret Alice Grimes (Carroll); and his siblings, William, Dr. Richard and Dr. Carroll Grimes.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lee McCarey; his sisters, Nancy McLernon and Frannie Leudesdorf (Arthur); his sister-in-law Beverly Grimes; and his nieces and nephews, Peggy Castner (John), Erin Myers (Antony), Mary Trotter (Michael), Megan Hayden (Doug), Maureen Clark (Wayne) and Susan Landolphi (Phil). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
