She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Frank Lawson and Dixie Henderson; her son Jerome (Bernice); her husband Leon "Lightnin" Garrett; her sister Georgia Mae; her grandchildren, Patrice, Jerome Ali (Gina) and Melika (Dewey); her great grandchildren, Essence, Serenity, Mariah and Jiana of Elijah, D. J.; and her nieces and nephews, Jackie (William), Sheila, Dexter and Craig.
