He was predeceased by: his parents, Joaquin Carreño and Maria Gonzalez of Carreño; his sister Margarita Silva; and his former wife Carmen Carreño. He is survived by: his brother Joaquin Carreño (Mariano Carreño); his wife Raquel Carreño; his sons, Joseph Carreño (Anna) and Francisco Carreño Rosalie (Cindy); his stepson Erick Diaz Myrna (Brenda); and his grandchildren, Michael Carreño, Joey Carreño, Cecelia Carreño-Jones, Louis Maldonado, Andrew Corral, Cicely McChesney, Daniel Carreño, Benjamin Carreño, Anthony Gonzales, Marissa Gonzales, Sofia Diaz, Andrea Diaz, Sarita Diaz and Joaquin Diaz. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the First Methodist Church (305 E Anapamu St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101).
