He was predeceased by : his wife Khiem Nguyen. He is survived by : his daughters, Yen La (Derik Vu), Kimmy La Sanchez (John La Sanchez) and Lan La; his siblings, Thuc La, Quy La, Yen La, Huong La and Tuyet La; and his grandchildren, Dylan Vu, Evelyn Vu and Catherine Huynh.
