It is with sadness that the passing of Marshall Sylvan of Santa Cruz, California is shared. Marshall, born on April 8, 1935, passed away on September 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Marshall will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Marshall by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Marshall is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Marshall’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Meyer Sylvan and Etta Sylvan; and his brother Irwin. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his brother Donald (Anne); his children, Jonathan (Cathy Cuddihy) and Charlotte (Robert Flood); and his granddaughter Clara. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel (1050 Cayuga St, Santa Cruz, CA 95062). A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Santa Cruz Memorial Park (1927 Ocean St Ext, Santa Cruz, CA 95060).
