He was predeceased by: his parents, James Watson and Annabelle Hardwick Watson; and his siblings, Anita and Larry. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Wheeler of Santa Maria, California; his children, June Austin (Eugene) of Santa Maria, California, Jimmy Watson of Creston, California and Onetia "Teeda" Watson of Santa Maria, California; his granddaughters, Miranda Estrada (Robert) of Creston, California, Rachel Cogley (David) of Arroyo Grande, California, Mercedes Petway of Templeton, California and Marina Sanders of Atascadero, California; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Andres, Mackinzie, Anikah, Layla, Isabelle, Cara, Madison, Miles, Makai and Violet.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Chapel (2620 Santa Maria Way, Santa Maria, CA 93455).
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to OPTIONS, Family of Services; 1201 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, California.
