He was predeceased by : his mother Marcella Ontiveros; his sister Sofia Ontiveros; and his cousin Steve Quinonez. He is survived by : his wife Stephanie; his father Fred Ontiveros; his children, Joseph Ontiveros, Matthew Ontiveros and Vanessa Ontiveros (Tiv); his granddaughters, Marcella and Evelyn Ek; his siblings, Isabel, Angelina Ontiveros, Theresa Estorga (Lawrence), Mario, Freddie and Thomas Ontiveros (Letty); and his godchildren, Thomas Ontiveros Jr., Brianna Ontiveros, Savannah Bautista and Jorge Fernandez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Viewing was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary (1003 E Stowell Rd, Santa Maria, CA 93454). A rosary was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 5:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church (414 E Church St, Santa Maria, CA 93454).
