He was predeceased by : his wife Donna Nakagiri. He is survived by : his children, Patti (Kevin Kirio), Gail (Dan Fukushima) and Brian Nakagiri (Mariko); his grandchildren, Justin, Jeff, Janna and Kendall; his sister Sueko "June" Akioka; and his siblings-in-law, Kazuko Nakagawa, Jane Kawamura (Hideo) and Tad Nakagawa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
