He was predeceased by: his mother Ernestina "Tina" N. Ruiz; and his brother-in-law Bill Bates. He is survived by: his daughters, Amber Ruiz of Dallas and Erika Ruiz Dunham (Brent) of Dallas; and his sisters, Paula Moore, Connie Hershbach (Robert) and Elena Bates.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (2930 Bennett Valley Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95404).
