It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose Tiofelo Matos of Santa Rosa, California, who passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albano Matos and Maria Sao Jose Matos; and his wife Mary Lucille Matos. He is survived by: his daughters, Sylvia Tucker (Stephen) and Sandy Geernaert (Richard); his grandchildren, Tiffany, Stephen (Megan), Heather, Abigayle, Joseph and Dominic; his great grandchildren, Lucille, Kaleb, Bennett and Sereia; and his siblings, Albano and Magarida. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pleasant Hills Memorial Park (1700 Pleasant Hill Rd, Sebastopol, CA 95472). A rosary will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Resurrection Catholic Parish (303 Stony Point Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95401). A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary (1700 Pleasant Hill Rd, Sebastopol, CA 95472).
