It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Louise Carey of Santa Rosa, California, who passed away on April 21, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Minnie Snider; her stepfather Ray Snider; her father Clyde Thornton; her brothers, Clyde E. Thornton and Richard Thornton; and her friend Art Lafranchi.
She is survived by: her children, Deena Black of Santa Rosa, Mark W. Carey and Brett Carey of Humboldt County; her grandchildren, Matt, Laura Christensen, Elizabeth Leon, Mark F. L. Carey and Heidi Carey; her great grandchildren, Ava, Jackson, George Markus and Valen; her sister Jan Marberry (Ed) of Bakersfield; her stepbrother Robert Snider (Barbara) of Colorado; and her close friend Eloise Cottrell of Eureka. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
