It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Naomi Marie Phelps of Santee, California, who passed away on September 20, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam "Al" Simon and Dora "Mae" Flores (Castro); and her husband Wayne Phelps. She is survived by: her sons, Lance Matthew Phelps (Jennifer) of Lakeside and Michael Travis Phelps (Roxanne) of La Mesa; her grandchildren, Ben (Kaylee), Maddy, Alex, Max and Samantha; her great grandchildren, Ford and Paislee; and her siblings, Ernie Flores (Metta) of Santee and Rebecca Flores of El Cajon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church (9310 Dalehurst Rd, Santee, CA 92071). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Miramar National Cemetery (5795 Nobel Dr, San Diego, CA 92122).
