He was predeceased by: his parents, Vester Eugene Garner and Jessie Leon Armstrong; and his siblings, Billy Joe and Lois. He is survived by: his wife Nelia Ann Garner; his sons, Carlos Eugene Garner Jr. (Anne) and Gregory Harold Garner (Heidi); his grandchildren, Shannon Kelly Maurás (Pedro), Kristin Anne Garner, Paige Garner Hoffmann (Colt), William Joseph Garner (Lindsey) and Katherine Eleanore Garner; and his great grandchildren, Gabriella Renee Maurás, Denzel Elias Maurás and Hollie Anne Hoffman.
A burial was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Madronia Cemetery (14766 Oak St, Saratoga, CA 95070). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Saratoga Federated Church (20390 Park Pl, Saratoga, CA 95070).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
