Katie Amatruda Obituary

We announce the death of Katie Amatruda of Sausalito, California, who passed away on May 21, 2026, at the age of 72. Katie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Tarcisio Amatruda Jr. and Barbara Colety Amatruda; and her siblings-in-law, Lynne Morishita and Charles Howell. She is survived by: her son Colety Kaltschmidt (Jaime Barnhart); her stepchildren, Evan Kaltschmidt (Erin) and Kira Marzec (Chad Livengood); her grandchildren, Emma, Eyan, Henry and Madison; her siblings, Tom Amatruda (Judy Axelrod), Chris Amatruda (Eb Luckel), Liz Howell and Jim Amatruda (Lisa Pon); and her pet Kiri. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
