With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Helen Bouligny Rucker (Seaside, California), born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 19, 2025 at the age of 93. Though Helen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alphonse E. Bouligny and Bertha Lejuene; and her husband Platoon Sergeant James Rucker. She is survived by: her son James.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bayside Community Mortuary (1610 Noche Buena St, Seaside, CA 93955). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Francis Xavier Catholic Church (1475 La Salle Ave, Seaside, CA 93955). A committal service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mission Mortuary & Mission Memorial Park (1915 Ord Grove Ave, Seaside, CA 93955). A repast was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Oldemeyer Center (986 Hilby Ave, Seaside, CA 93955).
