He was predeceased by : his parents, Lydia Torbert (Green) and Robert K. Dixon, Sr.; his aunt Menella (Dixon); and his uncle Rufus Leath. He is survived by : his wife Lynne White Dixon; his sons, Robert K. Dixon III (Meghan) and John M. Dixon (Ashley); and his grandson Myles Joseph Dixon.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in Robert's name to either The Village Project, Inc. or Chartwell School both in Seaside.
