He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Ortez and Gloria Platero; his stepfather Richard G. Platero; his brothers, Pedro, Reynaldo Ortez and Richard W. Platero of Texas; and his son Efrain Ortez.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Ortez; his children, Frank Jr., Peter Ortez of Selma, Aaron Ortez of Merced, Martin Villalobos of Dallas, Andrew Villalobos of Sanger, Evie Hernandez, Gloria Serna of Sanger and Cynthia Sandoval of Dinuba; and his siblings, Manuel Platero, Jenny Roque of Watsonville and GiGi Rodriguez of Watsonville. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eagles Hall Post 98 in Sanger.
