He was predeceased by: his parents, William James McDonnell Jr. and Pasqualina "Bessie" McDonnell. He is survived by: his wife Gail; his children, Julia McDonnell-Johnson (Michael), Mary Ann DiMaria (Michael) and Samuel McDonnell (Lareina); his grandchildren, Dylan, Mia, Claire, Jake, Shealon and Leiralia; and his children, Robert McDonnell (Sandi), Richard McDonnell (Mary Eileen), Mary Goldsmith (Joe) and Peter McDonnell (Wendy).
