Mary Veliz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Veliz (Soledad, California), who passed away on May 7, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Espiridion Villa and Clara Villa; her husband Raul Veliz; and her siblings, Rudy Villa, Frank Villa, George Villa, Joanne Lopez, Eleanor Sanchez and Carmen Serrano.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Veliz, Raul "Chato" Veliz and Lisa; her grandchildren, Terry Vallejo, Victor Vallejo, Joshua Vallejo and Nicolas Veliz; her great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Davion Vallejo; and her siblings, Richard Villa, Virginia Rosillo, Yolanda Diaz, Esperanza "Pilly" Villa, Rita Garcia and Linda Castillo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Woodyard Funeral Home (395 East St, Soledad, CA 93960). A rosary was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church (235 Main St, Soledad, CA 93960). A burial was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at the Soledad Cemetery (1711 Metz Rd, Soledad, CA 93960).
