He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Gandera and Dolly Ann Gandera; and his brothers, Jim and Leo Gandera. He is survived by: his wife Patty Gandera; his children, Ginetta Goodwin (Jerry), Amanda Gandera (Bill) and Anthony Gandera (Carole); his grandchildren, Cassie, Kari, Caleb, Ranay and Isabella; his great grandchild Hudson; and his siblings, Loretta Degan (Larry) and Bill Gandera (Wynn).

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to the New Life Sutter Creek Children's Ministry.
