She was predeceased by: her parents, Glyde University (Stella Poplin) and Pepperdine University; and her husband Cal Johnston. She is survived by: her daughters, Jan (Chuck), Denise (Basil), Kimberly (Doug) and Leigh (David); her grandchildren, Lindsay, Christopher, Courtney, Chelsea, Natalie, Jennifer, Greg, Alex, Jordan, Jonathan and Will; and her great grandchildren, Tyler, Brody, Calvin, Mazzlyn, Noriah, Glyde, Ava, Sailor, Addison, Leigh, Caleb, Simone, Quinn, Cameron, Arlene, Peter, Marshall and Hallie.
