He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, So Kim Hong and Tiong New; his wife Sofia; his children, Stephen and Sarah; and his grandchildren, Stephen Anthony New, Daniel Isaac Vargas and Elia Vargas.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church (3700 Callan Blvd, South San Francisco, CA 94080). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (1500 Old Mission Rd, Colma, CA 94014).
