She was predeceased by: her father Joe Kuzuhiko Daijo. She is survived by: her mother Naoko Daijo (Shimada); her husband Joe Sutherland; her children, Joey, Jessica and Joshua; and her sisters, Grace and Susan Daijo.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Darling & Fischer Memorial Chapel, Campbell, California.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Janet's name to the Susan Wojcicki Foundation (https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com), an organization that is advocating for desperately needed changes in lung cancer screening protocols, to enable early detection and diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer, which disproportionately affects healthy, nonsmoking women in their 50s.
