He is survived by: his wife Maria Antonia Guerra of Mendez; his children, Rigoberto Mendez (Lupita) of Dinuba, California, Suzan Montejano (Sergio) of Muleshoe, Texas, Hilda Mendez of Reedley, California, Mary Elsa Ogle (Terry) of Reedley, California, Hector Mendez of Fresno, California and Sandro Mendez (Zureyma) of Stockton, California.; and his grandchildren, Jacklyn Mendez, Elsa Gabriela Mendez, Kimberly Mendez, Rigoberto F. Mendez, Daniel Montejano, Sergio Jr. Montejano, Daisy Montejano, Eileen Montejano, Krystal Rubalcaba, Joanne Rubalcaba, Jordan A. Coronado, Akeylah A. Coronado, Mariah Danielle Garcia, Genesis Mari Mendez, Hector Antonio Mendez, Gioanni Carl Mendez, Zayden Luis Mendez, Ashley Mendez, Kayle Mendez and Anaya Mendez. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sterling and Smith Chapel (139 W Mariposa St, Dinuba, CA 93618). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at 354 N Villa Ave, Dinuba, CA 93618.
