She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Alexander Mize and Florene Marie Mize; her husband James; and her siblings, Hazel Sunmer, Lonnie Alvin and Jimmy Mize.

She is survived by: her daughter Robyn Hardy (Kent); her grandchildren, Nick Hardy, Katie Schubert and Vanessa Schubert; her brother Lenard Mize; and her sister-in-law Carolyn Mize of Kaufman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association.
