She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gilliam and Burnie Gilliam; her sister Ida Sue Gilliam Dean; and her grandfather Doctor Willard C. Gilliam. She is survived by: her children, James William Walters and Linda Ann Walters DeBonis; her grandchildren, Camden William DeBonis, Taylor Ann DeBonis and Megan Elizabeth Walters; her nieces, Julie Dean Bond and Jennifer Dean; her cousins, Bonnie Falconer Anglin, Gay Lynn Dickerson, Pam, Dickerson and Sarah Redwine; and her son-in-law Steven DeBonis.
The family will hold a private service and ask kindly in lieu of flowers, for all who are called to do so, donations may be made to any local public school or teacher.
