She was predeceased by: her parents, John Masao and Ruth Toshiye Nakawatase; her husband Lester Matsune; and her brother Wayne Susumu Nakawatase. She is survived by: her sons, Lance Matsune (Karol) and Jon Matsune; her grandchildren, Kara Matsune, Kelsey Matsune (Preston) and Matthew Matsune; and her sisters, Marsha Sayo Nakawatase and Kimi Diane Oliveira (Ed). She is also survived by grandmother to her three grandchildren.
