It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph E. Padilla (Stockton, California), who passed away on December 14, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph E. Padilla to pay them a last tribute.

Joseph E. Padilla, End of Watch December 14, 2022. Son of Sally and Elmer Padilla. Loving husband to Rose (Gomez) Padilla, they were married for
36 years. Brother to Richard (Linda) and Brian Padilla. Joe was preceded in death by his father Elmer and brother Brian. He leaves behind three sons, three grandchildren, four goddaughters and three pets.
Joe was a lifetime resident of Stockton. An alumni of St. Mary's High School, Class of 1968. He served his country from 1969 to 1974, he was a proud Marine Corp Veteran.
Joe was hired by the Stockton Police Department in 1974 and retired in 2001, after 27 years of service. During his time with SPD, he was a patrolman, special assignments included Motors, Investigations, the K-9 Unit, and he retired as an officer. After his retirement, he purchased a
Harley and often went on rides and took an annual road trip with friends. Joe later returned to SPD and worked as a camera operator for 10 years. He proudly served his country and his community. Joe was seen by many as the man you wanted by your side in battle, he was a knife
enthusiast and always prepared. Semper Fi
Mass will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11 a.m., St. Luke's Catholic Church in Stockton, CA.
Burial will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 10 a.m., Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, CA.
In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to The American Cancer Society or Pals Haven in Lodi,
