He was predeceased by: his mother Carolina Koen (Loxley) of Mobile; his son Clarence Koen; his father Lawerence Koen; and his siblings, Sam Koen, Bud Koen Ernest Koen (Mann), Burnell Koen (Koolum) and Blunzena Steele.
He is survived by: his sisters, Coradean Jenkins and Mary Helen Hardy of Loxley Alabama; his grandchildren, Tyrone, Randy, Buck Lee, Clarence, Todd, Anthony, Adrian, Benjamin, Sharay, Kelly, Lorraine, Andre, Samatha, Reginald Brown (Reggie), Ausha Jones, Tareava Jones and Dennard Ingram; his siblings-in-law, Erthia Johnson, Geraldine Johnson and Carolyn King; and his children-in-law, Elmer Brown and Trina Koen. He is also survived by Fourteen Great Grandchildren.
