He was predeceased by: his sister Maria Martinez. He is survived by: his children, Ricky, Transita, Monica and Manuel; and his siblings, John Diaz (Tammy), Frank Diaz (Troy), Anna Lopez (Marlon), Jenny Black (Glenn), Fernando Diaz (Sybil), Tino Diaz (Joanna) and Jesse Diaz. He is also survived by Ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any expressions of sympathy be sent as memories and stories of Richard.
