Michael Stewart Hoben Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Michael Stewart Hoben (Thousand Oaks, California). Michael, born on October 1, 1944 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Henry Hoben and Jean Catherine Ansorge Hoben; and his sisters, Elise Hoben of Kalamazoo and Christine Hoben of Traverse City. He is survived by: his children, Michael Patrick Hoben and Kelly Johnson (Mike Johnson); his stepdaughter JaNiece Lester; his grandchildren, Gabby, Ainsley, Mia Johnson, Ed, Brad and Jewel; and his siblings, Catherine Hoben of Arizona, Mary Hoben of Michigan and Richard Hoben of Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Bay Pines National Cemetery.
