She is survived by: her children, David Kastigar, Kathryn Herring, Sue Widholm and James Kastigar; her grandchildren, Brieanna, Savanna, Slater, Carissa, Kara and Jessa; and her sister Marcia Wensing.

It is with great sadness but a blessing that the family of Arlene Mary (Wensing) Kastigar announces her passing after her long struggle with Alzheimer's disease on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the age of 79.
