It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Grier Parke Jr. in Torrance, California, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Parke and Peggy Parke; his parents-in-law, Christine McKaig and George McKaig; and his brother-in-law William "Bill" McKaig.
He is survived by: his wife Sharron Parke; his children, Kristi Ikemori (Ian), Greg Parke and Alex Parke; his grandchildren, Keili and Keira Ikemori; his siblings, Dave Parke (Linda) and Anne Parke; his siblings-in-law, Bruce McKaig (Alayne), Patti McKaig and Bonnie McKaig; and his siblings' children, Rick McKaig (Dilyce), Jeff McKaig, Melissa Fowler (Brandon), Natalie McKaig, Amanda McKaig, Aleetha Castro (Mauricio) and David Parke (Suzi). He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Palos Verdes Golf Club (3301 Vía Campesina, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274).
Memorial donations may be made to the Peninsula Library Friends Foundation or the Palos Verdes Golf Club Scholarship Foundation, which provides reimbursement to the PV Golf Club's employees and their children for educational expenses incurred at accredited colleges, universities, community colleges and trade schools.
