She is survived by: her parents, Morris Richter and Rose Richter; her brother Philip J Richter (Ruth); her daughters, Kathryn Penwell (Dave), Cynthia Rustanius and Patricia Rustanius; her sister-in-law Doris E. Wightman; her children, Carolynn Spencer and Steve Kittell; her grandson Kainoa Lincoln (Donna); and her great grandchildren, Keala and Mahina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She loved animals and in lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to The World Wildlife Fund, spcaLA, Friends of Madrona Marsh or St. Luke's Church.
