He was predeceased by: his brother Armando Dorado Cardenas. He is survived by: his wife Gina Cardenas; his children, Cambria Cardenas, Gianna Cardenas, Uriah Cardenas and Uziah Cardenas; his mother-in-law Maggie Casares; his parents, George Cardenas Sr. and Kathleen Placencia; and his siblings, Joe Hinojos (Kim), Jack Cardenas, Jaime Davalos (Shasta), Abigail Martinez (Chris), Michael Dorado (Aaron), Matthew Davis, Danny Sanches (Brandy), Mayte Torres (Adan), Rosy Martinho (Dom) and Erica Ramirez (Jose). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to George's youngest son for his future care and education.
