He was predeceased by : his parents, David Friesen and Alva Friesen; and his siblings, Irma Goats, Neva Easter, Geraldine Brunk and Robert Friesen.

He is survived by : his wife Pat; his children, Erika Gomez of Austin, Kyle Friesen (Deanna) of Rockford and Leo Rosson of Los Angeles, California.; and his grandchildren, Julian Gomez, Christian Calderon, Elysiana Calderon, Jaiden Friesen, Nicolas Rosson, Kate Rosson and Kade Friesen.
