He was predeceased by: his parents, H. A. Arends and Pearl Arends. He is survived by: his wife Neva Martindale Arends; and his children, Lynn Curtis of Beaverton, Patricia Estes of Placerville and Bill Arends of Tulare. He is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, plus a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.
