He was predeceased by: his son Lonnie Earl Combs II; his father Loren Combs; his in-laws, Roland and Alama Boyd; his brother Brent Witten; his granddaughter Mackenzie Cole; his great grandchild Kambry McManus; and his grandson-in-law Logan Mann.

He is survived by: his wife Lavonne Marlene Boyd of Vici; his children, Kandy Jo (Darren Dwyer) of Vici, Lana Evelyn (Justion Cole) of Rozet, Lance Earnest (Mary) of Grand Junction, Tonja Combs of Palisade, Lane Combs and Crescent of Grand Junction; his mother Fawn Witten of Chino Hills; and his siblings, Tim Witten of Mountain Home and Rhonda (Ron Edwards Van). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren.
