It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Souza of Tulare, California, born in Hanford, California, who passed away on February 5, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Erma Constance Leal and Tony Matthew Souza; and his child Richie (Jana Jacobsen Ferreira). He is survived by: his siblings, Tony and Margaret; his former wife Frances Nunes; his son Louie Jr.; his wife Helen Pearson; his son Steven Souza; his close friends, Jim and Lucy Petty; his sons, Jim Petty and Henry Ferreira; his grandchildren, Eric Ferreira (Lauren), Nic Ferreira (Ali), Cheyenne Ferreira, Jacob Souza, Mady Souza, Olivia Souza, Samantha Souza and Annabelle Souza; and his great grandchildren, Gavin Ferreira, Rylington Ferreira, Avery Ferreira, Austin Ferreira and Cael Cortez Souza.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Aloysius School.
