He was predeceased by: his wife Naomi Chabiel; his parents, Julian C. Hernandez and Otilia Hernandez; his siblings, John Hernandez, Dora Barrientos and Martha Gutierrez; his half-brothers, David and Gilbert Hernandez; and his sisters, Rachel Morris and Elizabeth Hernandez.
He is survived by: his daughter Jan Smith (family: Jennifer Capote, Brianne Ayala, Allison Martin); his great grandchildren, Jaxon Alexander Martin of Tulare, Aria Claire Martin of Tulare, Tyson Paul Capote of Tulare, Maddisyn Elda Capote of Tulare and Liam James Martin of Tulare; his son Paul Charles "Chuck" Hernandez; his grandchildren, Tarrah Elyse Hernandez, Paul Aaron Hernandez and Ashlyn Moya (Ruben); his great grandchildren, Mia Channel of Tulare, Amelia Lu of Tulare and Milo William Moya of Tulare; and his sibling Catarino "Cat" (Eleanor Hernandez).
