He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Canby and Roland Canby; his brother Delbert Canby; and his wife Billie Canby. He is survived by: his son Stanley Jr. During; his sister Susan Ewell; his sons, Steve Canby (June) and Stuart Canby; his grandchildren, Brad Canby, Brooke Brown (Shannon), Erin Thiam (Lamine) and Amie Canby; his great grandchildren, Katlyn Wright (Jacob), Kelsey Lincicum (Matt), Andrew Canby (Ana), Beaujul, Ayessa and Annah Thaim; and his great great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Rhodes Lincicum, Emersyn, Kasen Wright, Elijah, Austin and Iesha Canby.

A graveside service was held on Monday, April 27th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Tulare District Cemetery.
