She was predeceased by: her daughter Diana Castillo; and her parents, Simon Muñoz and Benita Flores. She is survived by: her husband Francisco Leija Castillo; and her children, Gloria Castillo Overton, Frank Castillo Jr., Jose Guadalupe Castillo, Dora Castillo Zertuche and Angel Daniel Benito Castillo. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, her 3 sisters and many family members and friends.
