He was predeceased by: his wife Verna; his stepdaughter Deborah; his son-in-law Dennis; his sister Agnes; and his siblings-in-law, Tony, Gordon, Jim and Joyce.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa (Brian); his granddaughters, Heidi, Cynthia, Shawna, Angela and Kirsten; and his siblings, John (Vera) and Elsie. He is also survived by friends, along with facility and hospice staff who had all grown to love D. J. and considered him family, had to say 'goodbye.' However, as hard as 'goodbyes for now' are, it is with relief that we turn him over to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father and his son.
