It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Daniel Long of Turlock, California, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. As James Daniel departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James Daniel. Though James Daniel may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Long and Lorraine Long; and his brothers, Mark, Madeira and Benchley Long.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Jim Long (Irma) and Jessica Gill (Clay); and his brother Larry Long (Durena) of Russellville, Arkansas.. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
