He is survived by : his wife Julia Ventura Tapia; his children, Jose Manuel Chavez, Rosa Tapia Vallejo and Jesus Tapia Ventura (Jesse); his grandchildren, Jose Manuel Chavez Jr., Anthony Chavez, Adrian Jesus Tapia, Vanessa Linares, Gisel Crystal Vallejo, Makai Costa-Chavez, Juan Angel Vallejo, Gabriel Jesus Tapia, Adelina Julia Tapia and Loreal Alexa Martinez Vallejo; and his children-in-law, Sophia Costa-Chavez, Veronica Ruby Trevino and Juan Pablo Vallejo Macias.
