She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Bettincourt and Mary Bettincourt (Vaga); her stepmother Lucille Bettincourt; her brothers, Richard Bettincourt and Norman Bettincourt; her close friend Bill Alberti; her sister-in-law Eloise Bettincourt (Norman); her mother-in-law Paula Jones; and her pet Mitzi.

She is survived by: her former husband Chuck Redfern; her daughters, Paula Redfern of Ceres and DeDe Redfern of Turlock; her grandsons, Christopher Torres and Adam Torres of Modesto; her granddaughters-in-law, Rosie Torres and Felisha Torres; her great grandchildren, Isabella Torres, Mia Torres (Christopher) of Turlock and Adam Torres II of Modesto; her niece Ronda Juarez of Hilmar; her nephew Jason Bettincourt; DeDe and Paula.

Kathy requested flowers only be sent by family and requested plants or a donation to Community Outreach of Turlock (support organization for persons with special needs) be given.
