We are sad to announce that on September 11, 2025, at the age of 79, Manuel Souto (Turlock, California) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Manuel may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Alvarina Souto. He is survived by: his daughter Nellie; his son-in-law Al McCarty; and his siblings, Flaminio Souto (Lucia), Joe Souto (Lina), Raul Souto (Eva) and Gabriella Ascenso (Antero). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Turlock Funeral Home (425 N Soderquist Rd, Turlock, CA 95381). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM and at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sacred Heart Church for masses for the repose of his soul (1301 Cooper Avenue, Turlock, CA 95380) or to the United Samaritan's Foundation (220 S. Broadway, Turlock, CA 95380) in his honor.
