She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Durfey and Nettie Durfey; her husband Austin Schendel; and her daughter Janice Schendel. She is survived by: her children, Charleen, Joanne Schendel Turlock, Tara Lynn Deniz Bilgin and David Schendel Mariposa; her sister-in-law Marjorie Smith; her grandchildren, Elisabeth Schendel and Destany Matias Tristynn (Efrain); and her siblings, Wilbur, Buster, Bernard Durfey, Ruby Tipton and Kathleen Edwards.
